The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society's Dark Adventure Radio Theatre has taken one of HPL's less known stories (and ghost-written for Harry Houdini, no less), Imprisoned with the Pharaohs, and recast it as a old-time radio drama, complete with sound effects and cheeky radio advertisements. The resulting show is, admittedly, a smidge slow to get going, but, when it does, it rivals the great Hammer Horror Mummy films in terms of exotic Egyptian adventure. Highly recommended, especially the CD version which comes with a slew of props to support the radio drama.

Another great job by HPLHS! I wish the story was longer, but the source material was short as well. Right amount of Houdini and creepy. Bring on The Rats in the Walls or my guilty favorite - The Mound!
Enjoyable to listen to as you can just sit there and visualize those creepy-crawlies within the pyramid! Lovecraft fans will adore this.

An excellent story containing slight Cthulhu Mythos reference, Egyptian legends, and suspense which I couldn't put down until I had finished. Beautifully written by H. P. Lovecraft.
This was supposedly co-authored by Houdini. It's OK but the others in this series are better.
Yet another 'new' classic from the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society! Let us all hope that a few more quality HPL stories emerge from these great actors. Perhaps, shall we say The Whisperer in Darkness next? There's a great one. Also, how about a collection of shorts on a two-disc set; shall we say The Shunned House; The Terrible Old Man and maybe The Horror at Redhook?
